After attending school he moved to Michigan and began work at Packard Motor Company, later he worked for Whitehead and Kayle in Wyandot, Michigan, a steel fabricating company. He moved to the Cities in the early 1970s. He worked as a machine operator for many years until he found a job delivering produce to grocery stores up until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed spending time with his family at picnics and gathering, hanging out wholesale wood beads his friends and attending sporting events.
